Early Preparations Lay a Solid Foundation

The AVENUES project in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, is the largest contract Lingyun has secured since entering the Saudi market. Since winning the bid, the company has placed high priority on the project and swiftly allocated its best resources. Over the course of six months, the project team efficiently completed all critical preliminary tasks, including material sample approval, experimental drawings, and testing procedure approvals. Additionally, in just two months, they completed the production, fabrication, assembly, and installation of all VMU materials, securing valuable time for the VMU’s on-schedule unveiling.

PMU Testing Sets Multiple Records

As a major landmark project in Saudi Arabia and the Middle East, this curtain wall system faces extremely high standards. The testing strictly adhered to international standards, covering core tests such as airtightness, watertightness, wind pressure resistance, and seismic resistance, as well as specialized tests for extreme climates. The entire process involved a total of five rounds of re-testing for airtightness and watertightness, presenting an unprecedented level of difficulty and setting multiple records in Lingyun’s history of overseas testing: It featured the largest test area (220 m²), the most test items (37), the broadest coverage of standards, and the longest duration (11 days), with the curtain wall withstanding extreme wind pressures of up to 6,900 Pa. All test items were successfully passed on the first attempt under the full supervision of consultants, fully validating the curtain wall system’s exceptional performance and reliability.
